Have any of you had problems with the factory front end suspension after lowering? The shop that lowered mine said they didnt want to lower the front end so much so that I dont blow the struts. I believe him since I know the guy but I was just wondering if I should take the advice.

you can lower it however you like but if you use factory shocks with aftermarket springs you are going to fry your stock shocks, you need aftermarket shocks to go with the springs.

Well I don't condone(spellcheck) it but I've been on my stocks ever since I lowered with GC coilovers in late May early June and my front end has been cool, no multi-bouncing. Occasionally when I go over a little dip or something it will bounce once, but thats typical in any drop. But as soon as I can save up some cash for some Illuminas then i will mos def get them.

i used to think i wanted to go as low as 2 inches, but after reading all these horror stories and the fact that my car's a daily driver, i think i'll stick with a 1.5 to 1.75 drop. and i'll definitely wait til i can get new shocks at the same time

i definitely blew up my stocks! they were so bad they started to bind up and creak. all u bastards are lucky with the nicely paved roads in the usa. up here in canada, the pavement sucks cuz it freezes and cracks every winter. i'm riding about 2.5 inches down right now. its december so i'm plowiing the snow off the roads. the damn city workers should be paying me! lol thank goodness for tein coilovers. going back up this weekend
