If i'm reading this right and you are shifting your auto when you're driving then yes, you probably will need a new tranny. Honda trannies are pretty strong but they're not made to be shifted manually on a regular basis.
fuck fuck fuck....what should i do...i looked at some transmission site, says $1,500 for a tranny? wtf! i cant afford that...tell me something i can do or anything...fuck

u can find them for alot cheaper than that...u don't need a brand new one. Hell i'd try to find a recently wrecked or parted out accord, u shouldn't have to pay more than $350 for it. Go to a performance shop and see if they have any laying around from h22 swaps...they might just give it to u

does the rpms feel like its in neutral or does it just jump?
if you gun it in d4 it drops down to 3rd gear (why the rpms go up really fast) or if your manually shifting it, could of just missed the gear or pushed it a lil far and slipped into neutral
like for a few weeks, it would slip while driving, act like its in neutral (gassing it but going no where) then finally kick into gear and go....now it quit all together....like i can drive it for 50 yrds when its cold engine, then it slips and the RPMS shoot up to redline and i give it gas and nothing happens, its like im driving in neutral when in fact im in D4....the fluid was all black, i put 2 quarts of new ATF in and still nada....i got it towed in 4 days ago, and its been sitting ever since...

Check with your insurance company sometimes they will pay for your towing. Or get a friend with a truck...someone around you has a truck.

let me setp up to the plate for a second here..
i been through this shit twice in the last year... talk about shitty situations... once i wa sstuck about 20 miles frm any civalisaton at all at i think it was like 3am... an the second time was durring rush hour traffic in the middle of the dam freeway.. the brown/black looking trannie fluid isyour first sign of the trannie being fried... an if you smell it, it willl smell like a burnt SOS pad..(dont ask, i just know)..lol.. anyways, your best bet is to jsut try an save up for an h22 trannie if i were you, or better yet consider doig the hole swap a once, wen you see what it cost me below, you will understand why...
according to AAMCO...
aamco external diagnostics service $39.95
amco reconditioned tansmission with a exchanged rebuilt torque converter with aamco's 12 month/12,000 mil limited warraty.
PARTS $655.86
1) new assembly kit transtar ak5000n
2) new filter
3) 6 quarts dextron hi/mercon trans fluid
exchange rebuilt torque converter $379.00
hard parts $420.78
labor to remove rebuilt an reinstall $1076.40
total labor $1076.40
total parts $1454.56
sub total $2531.28
tax $112.75
total $2644.01
an this was the second rebuild cost.. the first one was like another thousand dam neir because they had to replace the cylinoids an all the little shit as well... (this is just to lt you know what you are aobt to be lookin at) my suggestion is to take this oppertunaty an just go h22 now.... i had to pay from my pocket the first time, but since i had t done the car was stollen an the casing was cracked, so insurance seped in an payed for it the second time... (about time the basterds did something for me besides take my money)...
good luck with whatever you do...
P.S. al the signs that i had are exactly what youare describbing to us.. dont wait any longer yo... it will only get alot wors off an need more fixed... get it done now before this happens, trustme on this one...

Hey man, auto tranny 101: If your fluid is BLACK, IE; well beyond BROWN, your tranny is DONE. As a tranny gets old the clutch disks will start to contaminate the fluid, and if there is ever some burning (eg: slippage), the fluid will turn brown, and stink!!. That should throw up flags right there. At that point, the damage is already done but at the very least you can change out the fluid. If your stuff is BLACK and the tranny shows signes of slippage, I'd say your tranny is history. Prolly cheaper to get one from a junk yard than to rebuild, but check around.
