Lately I've been thinking more and more about lowering my ride. What's the proper path to lowering a car so that I don't screw up anything in the process? I was checking out a coil over spring set I saw on eBay, But I'm curious as to what else I will need.

To do a proper lowering of your car you will need:
1. Coilovers or springs ( Coilovers If I were you)
2. new shocks/struts
3. camber kit or arm
4. re-alignment
5. look cool
Most people don't do 3 or 4 but you will F*** up your tires if you don't.

i remember on my old 'cord i didn't get the camber fixed for a while and i could literally see the metal bands underneath the rubber

I went through some nice Yokohamas because I didnt get the camber kit :( now im stuck with Nankanes til I can afford some nicer ones. I havent done my front struts yet either and the bounce is ridiculous! New struts coming soon though.

do not bend them that is what my take is on that... an dont waste your money on a camber kit, they are no good spend the extra cash an get the ball joint kit instead.....

hey guys I think I will also be looking into some of this stuff, what manufactor is most recommended for the shocks, springs, struts and camber kits?

i founds nice lil strut deals but im not sure if its like a good idea to invest in cause they only 60bucks for a3 peice set...

should I look into more highend stuff instead?

remember, you get what you pay for. 60 bucks is gonna get you a $60 ride...by that i mean its gonna ride like a 93 mustang. if you dont mind that then by all means buy the cheaper ones. but if you want a softer ride then go with some more expensive struts. I use kyb's and love em. they arent the most expensive on the market but i get a good enough ride for my preference. if you want a real soft ride that is adjustable for real aggressive applications then i would recommend the tine coilover/strut matched set. thats gonna run you a ganster roll of cash. its all in what you want out of the suspension.

i recommend some H&R springs and eibach springs.... or some groundcontrol coilovers.... but if you really want a great ride, go for the whole suspension setups.... for camber i recomend SPC camber kits
