errr... get the alternator tested then go for the starter, after that i'd make sure all the wires arn't messed up (mambe when you tryied to start it one poped) after that check the ECU it might have fried just like the amps..
good luck to ya

your battery is going if the lights keep getting dimmer get a new battery, limp over to Autozone or Checkers and have them do an in car test of your alternator to make sure that didn't f#@k up.
keep us posted

Had the same problem with sewers backing up and flooding my car, i can almost guarantee the city will say 'tough, not our fault'. if you're lucky you can get the insurance to pay for some repairs - sux though cause you have to pay the deductible but at least you're not out more than that

uhhh, i suggust you go to the insurance company.. a car that was in a flood is just about pointless to try and get working again. You're going to be doing a lot of electrical work, and you've gota be worried about getting water into the engine...

the insurance company should be able to cover flood damage..

well this is the case my brother only has the liability insurace the one cops request to have and another thinbg is that the watter did not reach the engine

well, if the insurance company wont help then you've gota start replacing stuff..I'd say to check all of your fuses, make sure they're not blown. You might need to replace the ecu and if it's auto, the tcu as well. The battery and alternator should be fine if you said that the water did not get into the engine.

yeah only the inerior is back the ecu got watter in ir and is manual watter got up to about an inch off the short shifter

the check engine light is probably on cuz the other car is a VTECH so when the ecu tries to switch it on it isn't there and so it freaks out. see if you can find a way to jump the ecu so the when the vtech switchs on it doesn't go crazy
