Show or Go first? And then how much of each? for example, I could do absolutely nothing to my car, but make it look trick as all get-out. or It could be a sleeper for a while.

Personally, I am leaning to show first, because I can always act like the car revving up to me is not even a challenge to me, cuz my car is so fast (just look at it!)

I'm only gonna be able to afford either to make 100% in one category, or about 50% in either. 50 to show and 50 to go makes the car look half-assed, and ugly.

But in defense of Go...i wanna go.

Yup it's late and i'm still up!

Whatd'ya all think?

id say go with show first cause u already got some go goin. unless u just want to supercharge the auto. it dont matter either way i used to have a auto ill pimp a auto lol id just go with the visual cause ud still beat any reg civic around and alot of other cars with stock and a few bolt ons for looks

There was someone on here that had a quote on here that has stuck with me ever since, props for whoever it was. " Looks get you opinions......Power gets you respect........what do you want more of.."

I would work on the engine first, especially being that you have a wagon. Nothing says embarassing, like getting smoked in your soup'd up civic or teggy by a 5 door. hahaha

I dunno if its a wagon just go with the show in the beginning, cuz imo wagons look way too ugly without being lowered and no kit on em, where as any coupe/sedan can look nice..even stock....+ its your car bud, do what you want..I like looks imo, power can always come later....just my 2 copper

Wagon...who said anything about a wagon? i don't have a wagon, I have a EX V6 coupe! haha...if I had a wagon...the only show and go i'd have would be going to the showroom to trade that puppy in.

Also, part of the show, helps the go. I.E Lowering Kit's help cornering, and exhaust helps power numbers.

Thanks for the input though

wtf?!?!?!?!? I am hella trippin. Damn I need a vacation. I'm sorry bro for some reason I thought you had a wagon. My bad man. But I still stand behind my power over looks. When I think of looks I think about body kits, lights, etc. Of course I would lower the car and throw some new shoes on it, but after that would come engine upgrades. Just my opinion though.

i agree w/ "Looks get you opinions....Power gets you RESPECT". I would definitely lower it first-u get performance and looks:better braking/cornering, lower sportier stance, and better acceleration-less wind turbulence under the chassis. Then, I would get the basic bolt-ons: Intake, Headers, Twin Exhausts. Some performance spark-plug wires/platinum or iridium sparkplugs. Then, the supercharger would be great. Since this engine has what like 200hp stock, these mods should be good enough. Maybe NOS. At least for now.

do about performance first, enough to get you a nice edge on any other stock stuff out there, then do simple body stuff, tint, lip kits, lights etc.

Get a lip in front : 100 bucks
Get a set of 17's: 800 bucks
Set of Eibachs springs: 200 bucks
Set of Tokico's: 350 bucks
Nice Apexi dual Muffler: 500 bucks
Zex Dry kit with Spark plugs and wires: 500 bucks
AEM intake: 100 bucks
Total $2550
Result: Lowered 6th gen accord on rims that sounds nice and mean with 255hp (zex 55 shot) to back your looks up in case you need it.

Can the stock tranny handle the NoS?

I've been told that anything 55 or under is considered "allowable" but we're talking Nos here, so its a "at your own risk" kinda thing.

Can the stock tranny handle the NoS?
Tranny can handle NOS. It can handle boost on top of that too. Its not like you spraying right from the stop. So Tranny is not an issue here. I did a lot of research before I got on juice. The safest kit on the market is Zex because it eliminates all the crap with NOS line Fuel Line Solenoids etc... with the ZEX kit you get all in one purple "smart box" that has build in solenoids inside that self programs it to work with your ECU, Throttle response, and Fuel/Air pressures. So basically if you are using a 55 shot. The chances of blowing anything are low unless you'll spray while you shift gears and miss the gear but still Floor it and spray in Neutral. Your RMP's would go up like you havent seen it before in a sec you'll be from 1000 to 8500 with the needle trying to go for the second round. Not a preety sound and feeling. Did it once, blew my o rings on the 3rd cyl. But anyway. there are ways of going around it. Like i did a push on push off button near the shifter so I actually turn off nitrous when i shift and turn it back on when i'm already in the gear. Ohh and did i mention that it dropped a 1 1/4 sec of my time in 1/4 mile while ONLY spraying in 3rd? Imagine the cut times if I spray 65 shot in 1st, 2nd and 3rd? I'll try it on the h22 i will have soon. Prolly be high 13s Umm cant wait.

So you wouldn't have to worry about turning it off and on with an automatic then right? I hear that you can set the Nos to kick in whenever you want, so for non-vtec'ers out there, you can get a Nos system and program it to kick in around 4000-4500 rpm's and there's your nice little mock v-tec, lol. Am I right in this or am i just talking out the side of my neck?

hahaha i didn't think about it that way, but nice perspective. imagine nos kicking in w/ vtec together. it would be like: vvrroooovvVVVRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAUGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Yeah me too, I was thinking about getting a system put in until I could focus on the H motor. Hmm, I think I'll look into it in the next couple weeks......after I pay my mortgage, lol.

where do you guys get the 200hp stock, is mine just weird or is it because your cars are v6 coupe power? my shit is only 145 stock, i think i might as well just go buy a del slo an trade my bitch in, with the difference drop a h22 or b20 and just turbo the bitch!! but on the other hand, i love my accord so much, why does it have to be so slow, oh yeah all that damn pumpin in the trunk, 4 12's. opps.

lol u eiter got to do shows and be slow or get the h22 to move the 4 12s im working on another 2 myself... what kind of subs u got?

96accordvtec
10-03-2004, 06:41 AM
Im runnin 4 hifonics zeus 12in subs, but i think im gonna sell them and just put in my other 2 subs sittin at my house, and use the money from the 4 12's to buy some parts, maybe instead just an indash dvd player. my mind goes all crazy, dont know what to get or to go for. one min i want to just stop and save for turbo, another says pistons and rods, another part of me says exhaust and headers, and finall another says sell the bitch and buy a del sol and drop a b20 in in and turbo and be done. but i like my accord and wont sell it, thats for sure. i think i need another accord luver around me to help keep me in line

The crew I run with called NeuEra has a all-motor B20 CRX. Its the team mechanic's car and he is running low 11's consistently. When i get some pics, I'll show them to y'all
