Alright, so I've come to a decision point. I can either keep my fo-do-ho, who I've been with for two+ years now and work with her, or I can swap for a 5th gen coupe. As I cant make a decision myself, I'm polling the public. Would it be better to go with the coupe, or should I keep the sedan?

I personally think that the coupes look sportier (not to take anythng way from the sedans), and the coupes a very rarre comapred to the sedans. I see the four doors everyday, i hardly ever see the coupes. I myself own a coupe, and it's a apin in the ass whn it comes to going out with more people and space, but i like the sportier look (thats why i have a van also, for those days when all my kids wanna role)

If its only you and your girl thats going to be driving around get a coupe. Plus as mentioned above, they look sportier.

Well, the general idea is that I dont really need a sedan, however, she's the one I've been with for all this time. Dont really know if I can give her up, but I've always liked the coupes. I dont know. If I can find a coupe in great shape, that doesnt need a whole lot of engine work or anything, I'll probably spring for it. Probably'd be a 97 SE if anything, I kinda like the look of them best.
New issue. If I end up getting a 96 or 97, would I be able to alter the front bumper and trunk lid to match the 94/95 look? Has it been done? That'd be ideal if I could, considering a "94" with OBDII would kick in my mind, then it's just bringing on the f20 and turbo. But I ramble. Has anyone done a downgrade on a 96/97 successfully?

I love my coupe, its more streamline and looks more like its made to be modded. And yes, its seen less on the road as compared to sedans. If i were you, I'd try to swoop up a 94 or 95 coupe. In my opinion I'm not really feeling the taillights of the 96 & 97 (look too rounded off and slightly bulky). Plus I know a lot of people try to convert their OBDII to OBDI, so having a 94 or 95 saves you the hassel of that. But again, just my own opinion.

So, it'd probably be best to stick with OBDI versus II? Interesting. Maybe it's the ease of chipping. Either way I went with either the 94/95 or 96/97, it's going to look like a 94 when I'm done. Anyone know of the going rates for a 94 or 95 EX coupe or LX with the sunroof? I'll also take something with a blown engine if I can get it.

I'm not sure about the East coast, but here in the west, you can probably get one for like 6 g's or somewhere in that neighborhood.

Here's another wrench in the works.....just so everyone knows or some might know this ne ways...If your going for just looks and no means of performance then go with the coupe, if your gonna put the horses in it and want a solid frame to work with then go the 4dr. Why you may ask...because the 4dr frames are built to more rigid standards then the coupes, so when turning corners at let's say 80+mph the body of a 4dr will not twist as much as a coupe. This creates better yaw control, which in turn creates a better more stable turn. This will even help during launchs from the line, less tortion on the frame. Some people even weld subframe supports for drag applications.
Hope this helps,
Zorin

first off let me say, I'm not trying to argue with you on your point, I am by far no accord expert, but wouldn't a longer frame bend and twist easier than a shorter frame. i mean if you take a stick and bend it, the shorter stick is going to be harder to bend than the longer one. as far as they way the frames are built, aren't they built out of the exact same material? i mean they don't say for the four doors lets use steel and for the two doors lets use aluminum. I am not understanding the physics of this, in theory a smaller car would have an easier time turnung corners at high speeds than a longer one.

ya go with the coupe cus it just looks cleaner after its been lowered and rims and exhaust. if i were you i would definatley go with a 94-95 coupe, the tail lights on a 96-97 just dont look good at all in my opinion.

Even though i have a 4dr., I would advise u to go for the 2dr. b/c: they are lighter approx. 300-500lbs., looks smoother and sportier, rare compared to the many 4drs out there, if you don't have more than one person that rides w/ u than it would be practical even though a 4dr would be easier to get stuff from the back seat. I would get 94/95 ex coupe cuz of the extra power/weight ratio. 145hp/147lbs.tq w/ a light 2750lbs. compared to a 3230lbs(which i have the 97ex) w/ the same engine power(before i started tuning) :D

i don't if ya ppl seen any of of cars honda use then, but all the 5th gen accord cars honda use for racing was a four dooor, even the sir was four door, not to door, there even a accord races tour which the car was all four door, i didn't see any two door at the meeet, beside the accord where met to be four dooor, not two dooor, in my oppion i think the 5th gen coupe looks weird, retarded it just don't fit to the body style, for that i get a 6th gen coupe those look way better, or even a 7th gen coupe, those one look weird too
