Paypal will screw you if you give them the chance.
I have 2 Paypal accounts. Both are currently on "limited" status becuase of an item I sent that got lost in the mail. The customer who I sent the item to paid me through Paypal so naturally, they disputed the charges through Paypal when they never got their item. Paypal has since charged me for that item even tho I sent it to the customer and provided Paypal with the Fedex tracking number. As much as that sucks, that's not the issue. The issue is that I have money sitting in my Paypal acount that I needed access to by 1/1/04 to pay rent. Paypal assured me that it would be cleared up by then. Obviously that hasn't happened yet so I'm stuck without any money trying to figure out how to pay rent. I've called them countless times and emailed 3 different paypal addresses several times and no one seems to know what the fuck they're doing. I keep hearing different things everytime I speak with them. The most recent phone call, I spoke with a supervisor and was told that there's nothing they can do at this point to release the hold status. ?!%#$^$(*&^?$%?^*(&%(?&^%??(?*?&?%?$?^*?&^?^%?% What the fuck does that mean? That I'll never got access to my money??? I've since contacted my attorney and I'm gonna have them deal with it cause I cant seem to get it taken care of. But I figured I'd warn you guys about this. Paypal is fine....until there are any disputes or anything against your account and then they fuck you up the ass raw doggie style.
