Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has a c/f hood and if you use hood pins. Are they really useful or a waste of money? Some people tell me that you need them and some people say you don't.

I have a CF with hood pins, and if it werent for hood pins my hood would havea gap of 2 fingers. if you want I can send you a pic of my hood with pins and without... You can judge for yourself.

that might be cuz ur hood was not a good one.. most hood pins are for show.. most cb hoods will close the same as ur stock.. and stay shut... most cb hoods arnt made that well so they dont fit as nice as stock...

Here is the pic with the hood pin... and without. While hood latch remains closed. Enjoy!
P.S. Hood pins are not for "show only" they hold down the hood tighter, stop hood vibrations on speeds, and secure the hood from flying off. (the latch hook on carbon fiber hoods is PLASTIC)

big difference when the pin is off. I really dont want to get pins when I get OEM carbon fiber hood, if its OEM, it should fit fine just like stock one and it shouldnt need pins

I hear cheaper hoods need them and more expensive ones dont...

I have a oem cf hood and I have a small gap. I'll prolly be getting pins just because I want to get rid of the gap.

I got my hood of of Ebay for 380. Its by VIS. Reason why it dont fit is because its made shitty. Of coarse there are hoods that are super OEM fit. I guess its just the matter of luck getting one. Mine didnt fit but 10 dollar pins fixed the problem... besides i think pins look hot!
