Will a H22 engine bolt in to the 97 four door accord without any modifications? Do the plugs match up for the electronics?

I entered this exact text on another post. Let me know if it helps. It's not specific but let me know if you have any questions.

"I don't know if this is of much help but if the mounts are no different than a 4th gen. Accord. Then it's just an easy swap w/out mods or adapters. Just take out the old very reliable engine and put in the new rev happy and glorious H22. Find out if the mounts are the same and let me know if they are. I'll try and help you out a bit if I can. If they are the same there will be some drilling needing to be done on the tranny mount. But check it out and let me know. The drilling isn't as hard as you might think."

From what I hear and read about there are no mounts needed for 4th gen and 5th gens.

The 4th gen and 5th gens use the same mounts. The drilling mentioned is not done to the mount itself, but to the tranny housing. You need to use the Accord tranny mount and to make it fit, you need to tap the holes in the tranny housing so that the Accord mount will bolt to the tranny. You should actually use a tap set and not a drill for that.

The H22 motor harness plugs are all different than the F22 harness plugs and it will require you to re-run them to match up correctly.

Other changes that need to be done are:

Exhaust manifold downpipe needs to be modified to bolt up to the Accord cat. converter. The lengths are the same and they match up right, only the flanges are different so they don't bolt up together. Just cut off the Prelude flange from the downpipe and weld the old Accord flange in place of it.

Either use the Prelude P/S pump and buy the Lude pressurized P/S line or use the Accord P/S pump and use either washers on the bolt holes or make your own custom P/S pump mount.

Other than that, it's pretty straight-forward.
