Happy Holidays (sorry for my delay) people. Here I will post a kind of survey on how you people flush your radiator, transmission, and engine. Also feel free to type any other recommendations, considerations, and advice. Also i'm doing this because i am a noobie (even though i've been here since last year).

Q1: Does anyone know how to flush a radiator? Is it just a matter unbolting the radiator and let the water run inside the radiator from a water hoes, or do you also have to flush something inside the engine? What's the procedure to uninstall the radiator? Also, what brand name do you people use for anti-freeze and how much do you need to use?

Q2: What do you people do before flushing your engine? How many quarts do you need? What brand name do you use for engine oil? What do you use as a engine flusher?

Q3: What do you need to flush a transmission? Is there a kit? Do you have to wait a cretain period after you put in the tranny flush?

There. Sorry abut these long questions, but I hope they help me as well as other noobies and reduce a loop of questions.

ill help you out, to flush the cooling system, radiator, just get some coolant flush from the auto parts store or what not and put it into your coolant. follow the directions on the bottle. usually let the engine run for 15min after it hits the operating temp and then open the drain petcock on the bottom of the radiator while running water from a hose into the resovoir. becareful not to let the coolant all drain out cause then youll overheat the engine....screw shit up...... refill with what ever coolant you want i usually go 50/50 mix water and coolant.
when you say engine flush, you tlaking about the coolant also? cause its all done through the radiator. easy stuff. tranny flush is best done at a shop with a machine usually runs about 50-70 bucks. but beware, most tranny probs on automatics occur after a flush is done.
dont forget about the fuel system ......injector flushes and fuel treatments.....intake carbon cleaners..... cleaning the throttle body pcv, plugs and wires, air filter, fuel filter(always neglected), distributer cap and rotor, .....if you dont know what type of oil to use, i wouldnt mess with any of this. it easy stuff but you have to know a little about maintenance of cars. i use 5w30 takes about 4.5 quarts. i never "flush" the oil lines so i dont know what ur talkin about there......peace

I went to the Honda dealer today and i aslked them if I can mess up my engine if i use an engine flush. They said the could do it. They usually put in a liquid in the engine with the old oil, let it sit there for a few minutes, then drain the old engine oil and add new oil. However, when i went to their parts store they told me that the only way someone could flush the enigine is by draining the old oil, adding new oil, start your engine and let it sit there 'til operating temperature, drain it again, and then add another 4.2 quarts. They also said the same thing goes to the tranny. So now i'm a little more confused. Oh, and i'm using regular Honda engine oil 10w-30 and sticking to it. I also have a mobil engine filter lying around somewhere, so i'll use that. Also, the dealer did a free service on my car (changed spark plugs & wires, cap and rotor, put in a new air filter, lube job) so i'm not that worried about that.
