Im trying to figure out what kind of seats I should get for my 93. Im starting to Auto X alot now, and I also spend alot of time in my car not on the track, just doing daily driving stuff.
Does anyone have any suggestions towards seats to get? I dont want to break the bank on seats, but I can also go with getting just 1 seat for myself because the passenger dosnt drive the car.
My budjet, Im trying to keep it below 400$. Ive been looking between Sparco's, recaro and Corbeau. Sparco and Corb. have seats that are just over 200$ that seem like they would be great for track days, but during daily driving I think I wouldnt enjoy not having a reclining seat. Anyone have any thoughts on this? any experience?
One seat that looks decent (no reclining) is the Corbeau forza, to bad its about another 200 for a recling type.
Im looking through racingseatsusa.com, anyone know of anyother sites I should take a look at?
Thanks for your help

first off... let me say
I LOVE MY SPARCO TORINOs!!!!!

but yah, you can find quite a few different ones if you just shop around the right places... you can actually find reclining ones for not too much too... just remember that you'll need mounting brackets for the seats as well.. not just the sliders that come with the car. you can either opt for the sparco ones, or just go the cheaper way and go to www.weaponspeed.com and get them there for around 100 a set (rather than up to 200 each from sparco direct)

if you want a low cost alternative, look at the Tenzo R seats.. they arent too bad. ive sat in a few, and they arent too bad.. ive even sat in a few knockoffs and they hold pretty well, but dont have the same features as the seats they copied.... (like memory heat molding foam)

i think these are japanese seats or they could be just generic knockoffs but who knows, ive never heard of them before. good prices though they also come in pairs with sliders for cheap.

peace.

O hey, update. I ended up finding a set of used Corbeau Carrera's for 400$ so I picked those up from a friend. I get the reclinable one I was looking for. I am selling one to one of my friends for 200$ though because I dont have the funds to be buying 2 slidders and a racing harness for me for autocross. But if he never gets around to payingme Ill just for go the harness and get 2 slidders and install the seats.

Ill post pictures once Im done with installation.

Ebay got some nice seats... replicas, real ones. You can get a nice set of recaro replicas that are absolutely the same as recaros quality wise and weight wise and cost 200 a pair!! Seat is a seat. It will do its job. Why pay 400+ per seat when all you're paying for in reality is a brand name. Its like you're buying a cotton t-shirt from wall mart for 10 bucks and then the same cotton t-shirt with the word Armani or Versace on it is goin to 100+? I dont believe in that crap. I'm getting myself a set of $200 recaro replicas in black and blue... They weigh the same.. Quality is the same... they look the same so whats wrong with that?
