I've been wanting this car for awhile now a 1997-1998 Nissan 240sx. I've heard its an amazing drift machine and with this whole drifting idea I really want to get that car. I know the massive potentials of this beauty and i really want to get one. However due to my financial status I can only afford either my Accord or the 240 sx. So if i'll get a 240 sx I'll be forced to sell my accord. Now I have a lot of stuff put in my accord. Full bodykit, z3 fenders, carb fiber VIS hood, HID headlights, grill, e/h/i, interior done with blue paint and auto meter gauges, racing seats, fuel management, brand new 17' rims, eibachs sitting on kyb agx shocks, new 2nd stage clutch, H22a 5 speed manual tranny (just tranny) and a lot of more little things I cant even come up with now. All around 8000 grand in aftermarket parts. So if i get a 240 sx I'll need to start all over to get it into the shape and look I want it to be. Meaning more money, more time etc...So IF you were me, do you think its worth it? Selling the already done up accord (all i need now is h22a with turbo now and i'll be in 13's) (approx $4500 $5000 away from it.) Or getting a 240sx and building it from scratch? Who thinks what?

Although I love those 97-98 240SX, those mean headlights just look really nice, but if you did all that stuff to your Accord, I dont think its worth giving up for just another stock car. keep the Accord

i used to own the evil eyed 240... FUN FUN FUN!!! well. cause it had a red topped sr20det.... (yes, different from the blue and black ones...) [i also helped tune a 240 with a rb25det] but drifting in it was fun... but then again so is drifting in the accord... haha! what? say an accord cant drift? come with me for ride @ button willow, and i'll show you what A DRIVER can do... its not the car.. its the driver

i'm gonna have bushings and bolts flying outta my folded in wheels on my accord if start drifting on it. ITs like an old bucket full of screws. Its good on the straight flat roads tho... You can check the pics up in the OFF TOPIC section. Thread called My car pics. It my baby! I cant drift on that!

your decision really depends on what u want from a car. U say u want to drift then get the 240. I know mike can drift in his 'cord but personally i'd think a rear wheel drive would be easier to drift. Also a 240 can be faster then an accord(not sure if speed matters to u or not). I got a boy at my school thats building up a 240 w/ an sr20 motor and he's plannin on drifting it(or crashing it...not sure how good his driving skills r)

lol, you usually either Drift it, THEN crash it! lol.
but speed and control is much easier with an FR compared to the FF. with the FF, entryspeed is much more crutial
but building a 240 to drift... i wish u the best. FIND TIRE SPONSORS! lol. i found myself going through tires faster than Vasponger does Underwear. LOL (jk man)

You need to do some soul searching,w e can all tell you what would be best for you, but its you who is going to be happy or derpessed after you let the accord go. Just like r33accord said, you can drift in the accord (I do!) but its not the same as a FR. I'm also in the same boat as you, i have a shit load of stuff in my accord but i am in the process of selling it to get myself a 240sx. Although im going to miss my accord!!! (I wish i could afford to keep both) =( anyways hope this helps.
BTW: r33accord, where are you located? would be awesome to see another accord drifting!!!!

i saved so muching installing all and most my parts in my accord. my firends Z with a 6cyl.. he had his parts installed by other ppl. cost him a grand for just a greddy exhaust labor and part.. intake was pretty expensive too. also they dotn make carb legal headers for a Z n/a

well who would want a n/a zx in the first place:D?? I say if a car comes factory turbo'ed try finding one of those instead of a n/a model
