hi guys. i have a 96 accordEX auto stock non-vtec engine.
i wanted to swap a H22a wich is a good upgrade for a accord but then i thought about the V6 engines from 98 to 02 accords. They have the same HP as the H22 (200) but the H22 has only 161 lb.Torque while the V6 from 98-02 accord has 195lb.torque since everyone here talks about H22 swaps , i was doubting about the swap of V6 engine.
could anyone tell me if the 3.0L V6 is a better swap than the the H22 cuz it got more torque and is it gonna fit into my 96 accord ??? and ya i wanna swap a 5 speed too and turbocharge it one day if my wallet allows me ... so tell me wich is the best swap

im with the h22 its less hassel to try to make it fit not sure if the v6 will fit in it or not but a 4 cylinder pushing the same amount as a 6 cylinder is pretty damn good and plus that v6 adds a lil more weight to the car than the h22 but its all up to you on how you wanna do things

98-02 Accord V6s only came with automatic, so if you wanted it as standard you would have to swap the 6 speed out of something like Acura CL-S, which is a lot of money, so I say go with H22A. With H22A swap you will get everything you need for a swap. And its not necessary to install a strut bar, this only improves you cornering/handling and stabilizes the car, it has nothing to do with engine.

V6 engine won't fit on your 5th gen with 4 cyl engine.
BUT you can do H22 swap into V6 5th gen, because they have bigger engine bay. This what exactly what Honda Racing Team did on their accord at British Touring Car Championship/BTCC. They need bigger engine bay for their H22A to make work easier, and they need bigger body for more stability on touring race.
I'm pretty sure this kind swap (H22A into V6 body) is more harder for us, cuz i don't think people here did this swap before. or anybody knew bout this?

my suggestion is just get H22A or F20B for your accord. It's easier for U.
