What performance-wise parts should i get for my 90 Accord LX. Its an automatic. Should i get a chip or should i get a turbo. or if none of the above, what should i get. i'd appreciate any responses.

Well turbo and a chip are in totally different price range first of all. But if you have the money, buy both.

Some things you should consider is will your engine engine support a turbo kit for a long time? I mean you say you have a '90LX, and I'm thinking it has at least 100K on it right? Also will your automatic tranny hold out all that power before breaking (probably not).

I suggest starting with basics if you want to work on that engine. Things like Cold Air Intake, Headers, Cat-Back Exhaust system, etc.

But if you have around 2-2.5K to spend and your Accord is in good condition, just swap the engine for something stronger (H22A for example), and then turbo that, you'll love it, trust me :) .

chips dont do anything except harm your engine, swap a h22 and call it a day,

some chips will actually give you few ponies and remove your speed limiter.

all they do is trick your ECU which is never good, in order to safely do it you need hondata or something simialr vafc ...safc.....

Is hondata smog legal?

Hondata is one of the best ones I hear.

Q: Will the ECU be smog legal?
A: A programmable ECU cannot be smog legal, even though typically emissions are unchanged from stock, so the ECU will be for off road use only.
