I will be getting a new paintjob in about a month or month and a half. I really like the Deep Velvet Blue Pearl on my car, its a Dark Blue, and I was just thinking of keeping it the same color due to that I am going for the "dark scheme." Well what do you all think? Should keep the same color or do some crazy custom one?

Well If You Want To Spend The Money Go For It....what Color Is It Now? If There Is Nothing Wrong With The Paint Job I Would Leave It The Same If You Like It....my Paint Has A Couple Bad Spots.....acid Marks..just Little Ones But They Bug Me...and It Just Needs A New Paint Job Its That Light Sage Green ....i Want Ti Add Some Purple Into It Tho..i Would Say Go For It If You Really Really Want A New Paint Job

I got paint chips in front, and one time someone hit me in the back a little when they were pulling out of a parking lot, its not noticable but its starting to rust, plus previous owner didnt know how to wax the car and there is some swirl marks.

Oh and I guess I'm sticking with the stock color, I asked the guy how much would it be if I painted it differently and he said like 600 more due to that he would have to paint the door panels and everything else and it would take a lot longer and I need the car all the time pretty much.

paint job plans are off for this year, the guy that was going to paint the car moved and other people want $1000+. So I bought some 18" rims, here is a pic of them. I originally wanted gunmetal with polished lip, but this was a good price so I got them. Hyper Silver.

nice wheels, what brand are they? i dont recognize the centercaps...

but yah, it really depends on what you want to do with your accord... and its color sceme.
personally, i think dark colors are great if you maintain them. esp if youre going with a velvet blueim not a fan of the darker colors because they show chips a lot easier.
actually, im a fan of mostly white and silver stone metallic. most people are shocked to find out that the majority of my car is still sporting the OEM paint job... with exception for the sideskirts, molding, front and rear bumpers.
(sorry, im showing u guys a pic thats about a year and a half old.. im sure u are tired of the other pics already)

Yeah man,
I like the wheels though, nothing crazy, those will look nice on an accord. As far as the paint job, i had mine done as well as some body work a few months ago but i stayed w/ my stock white color. It set me back a few bones but it really makes a car look new. Good luck.

well if you really like that color then stick with it....but if not then dont...or you could just ad some graphics on to that paint....im getting mine repainted the same color, but im gonna ad in some ghost flames( i think that is what the shop that is gonna do it says would look nice) but althought i would like to paint my car the same color with some purple pearl in it...hehe but if you like your color the way it is keep it that way bro cuz you dont want to get stuck with something you dont like after its done.

what tires did you get for them? if your planning to do any racing, I highly recamoned the Falken Azenis Sports... best tire for street/track use. being to sticky is their only downside.

the rims just came in yesterday, look very nice. FedEx guy was carrying two boxes at the same time and he fell going up the stairs to my house, I guess they were heavy, so I said to him, "those better not be damaged," he looked at me kind of embarassed so I said to him that I was just joking.

Anyways for the tires I'm looking at 225/40/R18 ones. I dont know what brand, anything will do I guess since I will be only driving them in the summer with these rims, I wont do much racing. I use 205/65/R15 for fall and winter.

So any of you find some cheap, low profile tires for my 18"s reply here, I'm trying to get these on my car this summer.

yes, you do...but I'm still having second thoughts about changing it, cause if I do I would want my engine compartment to match everything also, and I just dont want to be pulling the engine out and everything else just cause of the paint job

225-40-18 is gonna be WIDE... you might have to roll the fenders (esp if your car is lowered.)
215/40/18 is prob the best fit.... trust me. i sold and designed wheels for a living

I was looking at my current tires on with my friend the other day and he thinks they will rub with the 225s, my stock ones almost rub, they are kind of tucked in, in front only, and hit the inside when I go over bigger bumps at higher speeds.

Tokico HP kit say they lower the car 1.5" all around, on my its more like 2.0" in front and 1.8" in the back.
