First things first -- do strut bars really tighten up your steering like they are supposed to? I'm hoping one would, since a strut bar seems like a simple install to make my 94 Accord corner better (I'm not sure I want to lower it/install springs and shocks because I drive on a lot of gravel parking lots and driveways with potholes on Indian reservations).

I drove a 91 Civic Si -- it had just a strut bar. It cornered like a demon -- better even than my 89 CRX si (with no strut bar).

Second, would an eBay strut bar do the trick? I know people have mixed opinions about ebay/generic parts vs. Big Names. But money is really an issue for me right now. And a couple people on the board reported decent results with generic parts.

Thanks a lot.

with generic strut bars you can notice a big difference in the size of the bars compared to name brand generic ones look like they could snap as soon as you got it on and went around the corner i would stick to name brand with the strut bars

say no to DC Sports strut bars, they are very weak, even those on ebay are better than it. On the other hand I just recently installed a Neuspeed in the front and the car corners better and its also more stable. so I recommend a Neuspeed Strut Bar.

Do not get cheap strut bars. They snap and they crack on the welding. Go with a brand name strut bar. Like I always say to people. Don't buy cheap parts all you going to get is cheap performance.
