I've seen a video of a Civic in Japan doing it pretty good, he was also in Honda Tunning magazine. I dont think anyone is doing it with Accord, and I dont think they should.

mike (r33accord) drift competitivly in his 5th gen sedan. he's also got a completely worked motor, and built/modified automatic tranny. too bad he won't let out any of his secerets. someone else on here was saying that they bought a really stiff rear sway bar, and it induced a little oversteer. with that set-up i don't know how you couldn't drift.

yeah he did, but it was just show, not for drifting... he/his friend did wreck a car drifting......

so in other words people drift ff cars but just not accords? I have fun downshifting and cornering at high speeds and also pulling the ebrake and counter steering. Its alot of fun, except its hard to keep a drift going since once you step on the gas the car goes straight. =(

Thats why FF cars dont win drift competitions. If you want to drift your accord, go steal some Mcdonalds trays , put them under your rear tires, hit the ebrake and just slide around realizing you will have no rear traction, so its not really drifting, its just screwin around.

I hear S2000 cant drift that good either, even though its a FR. Honda Tuning magazine staff tried and all they did was bunch of damage to the car.

it has such good weight distribution, i bet you'd have to push it pretty hard to break loose. with enough power you can overcome any of that though.

actually your wrong about the weight distribution part. that shouldnt have anything to do with it. take for example the most famous drift car, the AE86. It comes from the factory with a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, and such is one of the reasons it is a choice drift car. if you do some research into the matter, youll find guys who are winning with out putting to much power to the ground (though they are tuning there motors, going from 120 to 180 NA). All the smoking tyres are cool, but when you come down to the basics, drifting is about skill. not to be a bitch, but If your into the drifting culture you should at least know that. I dont drift bythe way, though ever vehicle I get into I tell my friend with his 2forty that i drifted it. So far Ive drifted a 747, train, a right hand drive bus at Narita Airport (name dropper!) my 24 speed bike and Id keep listing things but I fear a bashing coming on. Its all out of annoying my friend.

o and I have no idea why the S2000 is not used often as a drift car. maybe Hondas are just banned from the events. You dont find NSX's in the events, and then what is there mini RR car that honda has? the beat? that guys got his own sub culture/following and racing league.

basically, hondas are not for drifting. But just to screw everything up, if there are initial D fans here, Im sure youve noticed in some of the Initial D comics that part of the new racing league that was formed includes a race between Takumi and a turbo charged DC2. Plus there was the lil hatch that he raced, but as you noticed there it was anilalated. Im not saying they are drifting in it, but if you get down to it, that show is about driving and beating the other guy in the fastest possible way. ask any pro race driver and they will tell you drifting is usually not the fastest way around a corner, less your a god like Takumi.

O, if you guys get Honda tuning, Im sure youve read about the integra that the made All wheel drive. Rumor has it that the owner brought the Teggy to a D1 event in Cali, he disabled the front driveshafts and just for show was there "drifting".

Im off my podium for now

So I'm not the only one hehe. Do you remember what exactly he did? i just use e-brake alot, but im starting to do it without my ebrake and just downshifting. (but it has its limits). lol
