Man, this sucks. The passenger door's handle from outside my 97 Accord SE is beginning to come off. The perimeter of the handle seemed as if it was loose, but i ignored it. A few weeks later the entire handle seemed to have been coming apart from my door! I was so pissed off when it happened. i can actually see the inside of the lock now. Has anyone dealt with this problem, and how can i correct it? Was it glued on, can i screw it back on, or did i crack the entire assembly?

wel it could be fixed by one of two of the ways you thought of.. one you can take off your door panel, an tighten down the (i beleive three bolts) that are on the back of the handle, this should bring it back in towards the door again... or you can two take a look an see if you might have broken it somehow an just replace it.. the part should only be like $40. new an like $10 used...

has your car been broken into in the time that it has been doing this ?? im asking you because this is how thye got into my car the first time they broke into it.. by pulling out the handle an poping the lock... if so, defanitly replace the hole handle..

I have no idea if someone tried to break in my car. I bought my car at a used lot. Although most of the people I give rides are fat, so i'm thinking that they might have pulled the handle too hard, and that's what caused it to sag. Thanks for your info though.

well your welcom, dont know if being fat would count on the reason why it is pulling out lol, but i would count on it being the fact that the car is almost 10 years old.. an it is just finaly getting to the point of needing to get little things fixed.... at least it is a cheap thing that can be fixed somewhat quickly..
