do those o2 and fuel mixing ECU performance chips work ? Also do i have a LX or EX, it is a 92 coupe automatic but it doesnt have the button on the shift knob (sports or normal button) Does that mean it is an LX , because ive seen that button on the EX.

Please reply, Thank you

P.S my car doesnt have badges . Whats the engine code for a LX as well as an EX . Thank you

I wish they would but I have a friend that tried one, it raised his redline a little bit, and all he did was broke a valve retainer from over revving. I have a p28 ecu from a civic ex but its specced for an h22 and Im told it works wonders. But it was also pretty pricey, 250 used...

Not sure what your car is, but I do know 91 Accord's LX have that sport button on the shift. What exactly is the difference between normal and sport? Is one for city driving, possibly better when racing?

if that ecu chip is gonna mess up one of my valves im straight on that, not even worth the risk

The only reason it Fed up his valves is because of valve float, they couldnt open and close as fast as the pistons could move. it just made a clicking noise til it was fixed. The ecu I have doesnt move the redline any higher, vtec just engages at 4400 and its a much smoother crossover since the power really starts to kick in around 5200. But then again, I wish my car was actually running. Does anyone know how it feels to have an h22 sitting in your car since halloween but not be able to drive it??? I do. and I can tell you its torture. lol

Just in the process of swapping. Running into some stumbling blocks but it should be going any day now

Under the assumption that you're refering to an auto tranny, I beliieve the sport setting allows the engine to rev up higher before shifting. As opposed to the normal which shifts at a much lower rpm.

i think it is, you are able to manually change gears, i allways drive in d3 unless im on the highway, i can change from 1-n and n-3 without doing anything i can go n-1 when i hold the button in, but i think its on all cars kinda a saftey/sports thing

Thanks. Vasponger why D3 not D4? Do you get more power out of your auto driving in D3?

d3 is same as 3rd gear, and under normal driving conditions in d4 it will have low rpms and my car sounds crappy sometimes if the throttles not open, and in d3 since the rpms are higher you do feel some power, and if you floor it it wont downshift, plus d3 is from like 35-80+

The ecu just sends different signals to the tranny to "tell it" when to shift. A lot of cars actually have this feature. Well mostly trucks, like the tow/haul button. It just tells the tranny to shift at different points while driving. But staying in the powerband longer would deliver a little faster acceleration. My challenge to you this winter, is to watch your speedo fly past 140 while youre on ice. Somebody make a video.... please lol

Anything over 110 and stuff starts flying by really fuckin fast. Just be careful not to endanger anyone else. I really dont care if I do something stupid like that and I hurt or kill myself. Thats my own stupidity and my own fault. But just dont endanger someone else like a family coming home from a picnic or something. But at the same time... have fun... this public service announcement was brought to you by penthouse... happy whackin

You guys and your damn MPH lol. I was going about 70Km/h on the snow by my house to try some rally shit like I always do, but this time I hit some ice and I had my wheels turned all the way to the left but kept going straight. "Oh fuck!" so I decide to straighten the wheels and prepared to jumped the curb. Thank God I didn't hit the tree and only popped out the valve from the tire. From now on I'm only sticking with e-brake slides onto the drieway. 130 on ice? Crazy. I've only went 100Km/h on ice to throw gravel at some fucker in a BMW who threw it at me.

BMW pricks... Unless they have an M3 or M5, then they are BMW Gods... but still pricks? Ironic? I think not? Coincidence? Maybe? 24 Hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence? Probably not. Fun? Deffinately. Rambling? STFU Already

What's up! What brought the BMW thin? How's your H22 coming along?
