added weight = slower acceleration, slower stopping with stock brake system. if you got 17"s or bigger upgrade to AEM Big Brake system or something similar

allot of people dont do this.if ur rims are way too big u def need to do an brake upgrad it affects the the braking and the accel too, now sum people hav soo much power they need the big rims, but they also help u handle better,if u plan on racing either get lightweights or put ur steelies back on!!!more rubber more grib and reaction time!!!!17's shouldnt really affect them too much unless the rims are chrome or just all out heavy!!!

actually larger rotors does not actually mean more weight. more often the rotors are going to weigh less but the rotating mass actually reduces your horsepower. that is what slows the accelleration, not the weight of the rotors or the air movement through them.

a few of my boys have upgraded their brakes and its REALLY noticable, the slower accel isn't as noticeable but if its a car you drive every day obviously your gonna notice it...but yeah both are noticeable.

i'v got 17" adr fuels and they're pretty light (16lbs) and i haven't really noticed a difference in braking or accel, in fact with the added rubber and increased diameter i think braking has gotten better, especially when you hit the brakes around corners or have to lock'em up, that is if you don't have anti locks, i freakin hate anti locks

dude i've locked em up on every car i've had and i've had every car through the spectrum (each with abs), started with a 97 kia sephia (totaled), then 91 mercury capri xr2 (little shit was turbo!...engine blew), then 89 jaguar xj6 (way too expensive to fix anything!) and now on my 95 accord and i've locked the breaks on all of em.
