When I bought my first 4th gen, it had one cracked to hell (the dealer included a new one for it free though). My new one also has one cracked. In both cases, it is the driver side door, and the crack appears on the housing as far towards the front of the car as you can get, about 3/4 of the way up. You can get the part from a honda dealership for sure. I don't know where else you can get it from, but depending on the prices you may want to grab 'em out of a junkyard for cheap.

I have the same problem too. When I get new ones I'm going to come up with some way to reinforce them. Both of mine are broken in the same place(the axis of rotation of the handle) so I'm guessing there if a weak point right there that Honda never considered being a problem. Where I live there is a junkyard with 7 4th gen Accords and three of them are identical '90, green, 2-doors, with tan interior so if a couple people need some handles, PM me.

i have the same problem too but i know the solution if u get new ones...just loosen the spring tension of the handle so it u don't have to pull it so hard to get it to open and so it doesn't snap back when u let the handle go...i'll try to get pix but theres only one spring connected to the chrome like inside handle and if u play with it and bend it slightly the tension decreases dramatically

modded interior door handles...mine is already cracked but this will give u the general idea.

here's my already cracked passenger side door handle...i'm pointing towards the spring because thats what u have to bend...no not the coil.

the end of the spring is what ur after

slightly bend this part of the spring towards u with a pair of locking pliers or whatever u can to bend it

try not to break anything lol ;)

You can also find them on eBay for like 15 buck shipped

i also bought my accord and the driverside was broken
I have still neglected to buy a new one for like almost 2 years. For me im used to shuving my fingers down the inside of the hole where the handle is sposed to be and grabbing the connecter and pulling it. and noone else likes driving my car just for that reason I have some picks up of my car tomorrow and my door:)
